THE REFRESH PROJECT

The Refresh Project is two-fold; it provides one-to-one coaching, as well as group support sessions to those age eighteen and over.  Individuals can identify goals, discuss personal issues, and work alongside the coach to develop plans that meet identified needs.

The Refresh Project proactively responds to the social and emotional needs of residents within the community. This is achieved by providing a confidential, safe and non-judgmental space for clients to address emotional, relational, or situational challenges. We are offering up to 16 free sessions of 50 minutes (depending on client needs) which will be provided via phone, online or in person.

Our aims

  • Provide coaching and/or counselling for residents of Ealing borough, predominantly North Hanwell.
  • Offer education, training and services to volunteers.

  • Work with the local community to address mental health concerns.

How Do I Access These Services?

We accept self-referrals, referrals from professionals, and agencies.

Volunteers

Our volunteers will help facilitate peer support groups alongside the Refresh Coach. One of their core roles will be to create a space where people feel accepted and valued by welcoming individuals into the session and encouraging them to engage in the activity. Volunteers will gain hands on experience of supporting those with mental health needs and the reward of seeing them engage and benefit from the activity.

To support volunteers in their role, they will be offered training and access to various courses such as the Diploma in Counselling. Subsequently, references to support any future applications for study, work or volunteering will be provided.
